I have been there a few times on June. It serves two types of foods: eastern and western. I only tried the western--it was really yummy, although not much variety was offered. The price was very reasonable. The roaated chicken and BBQ pork ribs were delicious. There were a lot of customers but plenty of seats available. Although I lived in West Yellowstone, I frequented this canteen to maximize my daytime visit of the park.

Ok folks, listen up. You can either bring your own food or eat here which is the only game in town. They serve hundreds of people cafeteria style and my food was delicious. I had the country fried steak with white gravy. Tasted exactly like they make it at Cracker Barrel. Plenty of seating and you might sit next to someone you don’t know so make a friend while you are here. They have an entire section of Asian food if you prefer. They have young people working here from all over the world. Taking great care of you and your family. All I saw was people completely stuffing their faces and smiling. The portions are generous. After a hard day of sight-seeing you will be glad this eatery is here.

Very cool retro vibes fit well into the beauty of Yellowstone. Tons and tons of food and drink options, and good adherence to trash/recycling separation make this a great place to stop on your journey.

Place was packed, but the line moves fast. This place is probably packed no matter when you go here, specially, during meal times. The service was really good. I’m sure they’re terribly busy all day long but you wouldn’t know it by how you’re treated. Good basic food like burgers and fries. Amazingly good service considering it’s the only show in town. Plenty of souvenir shopping here as well. If you’re going to pick up stuff to take home like T-shirts or sweatshirts or memorabilia this is the place.

I enjoyed my wok for dinner with veggies and tofu! I thought it had good flavor and it was MUCH better than the similar wok that I had at the Old Faithful cafeteria. There is plenty of outdoor seating and some is covered! I also ate breakfast here, but didn't feel like that was worth the long line. I had to wait a really long time for them to brew more coffee and other guests were getting grumpy.
